Geoparks sind orte mit international bedeutender geologie, die mit einem umfassenden konzept zu schutz, bildung und wirtschaftlicher entwicklung verwaltet werden. Community Development (teil des Project Ireland 2040), aber auch durch eine beh\u00f6rden\u00fcbergreifende partnerschaft und zehn jahre engagierter ehrenamtlicher arbeit. Das 1,19 millionen Euro teure projekt, das vom Geological Survey Ireland geleitet wird, bildete die Grundlage f\u00fcr die Besch\u00e4ftigung von 3 Vollzeitkr\u00e4ften. Michael Hegarty (Geopark Manager), Dr. Benjamin Th\u00e9baudeau (Geopark Geologe) und Dominic O'M\u00f3r\u00e1in (Tourismusbeauftragter, finanziert von \u00dadar\u00e1s na Gealtachta) haben noch ihren Sitz in Tourmakeady, grafschaft Mayo. The plan describes the geopark and its governance, its budget and staff, its vision, the various partners and stakeholders, a SWOT analysis and a list of actions planned for its future. This great tool clarifies the operations of the geopark and the strategy for its development. It is aligned with the UN SDGs in particular Goal 17 which deals with strengthening the means of implementation and revitalizing the global partnership for sustainable development. The plan was officially launched in February 2023. Grundlage hierf\u00fcr ist die fantastische geologische geschichte der region mit ihrer internationalen bedeutung, die unsere landschaft, die lebensweise der Menschen und das reiche erbe gepr\u00e4gt hat, das wir nun mehr denn je f\u00f6rdern und uns daran erfreuen k\u00f6nnen. Um diese touristischen impulse zu steuern, wurde im rahmen des projekts, mit unterst\u00fctzung eines erfahrenen moderators, eine neue strategie f\u00fcr die tourismusentwicklung in der region erarbeitet. Das kurze dokument beschreibt die vision, enth\u00e4lt eine SSCR-analyse (St\u00e4rken, Schw\u00e4chen, Chancen, Risiken) und einen ausblick auf das Leben mit und nach COVID-19. Ein sehr wichtiger abschnitt ist die Geopark Charta - eine reihe von grunds\u00e4tzen, die unsere partnerschaften mit unternehmen, gemeinden, usw, leiten, die alle aufgefordert sind, diese grunds\u00e4tze bei der entwicklung des Geoparks zu unterschreiben und zu wahren. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 targets demonstrate the scale and ambition of this new universal Agenda. Initially a two-year project (2020-2021), its key aim is to put in place the resources and structures to achieve UNESCO Global Geopark status. Geoparks are places of internationally significant geology, managed with a holistic concept of protection, education and economic development. The \u20ac1.19 million project, led by Geological Survey Ireland, recently employed 3 full-time staff. Michael Hegarty (Geopark Manager), Dr Benjamin Th\u00e9baudeau (Geopark Geologist) and Dominic O&#8217;M\u00f3r\u00e1in (Tourism Officer, funded by \u00dadar\u00e1s na Gealtachta) are based in Tourmakeady County Mayo.
