The Heritage Council is delighted to confirm that National Heritage Week 2021 will take place from Saturday, 14th August to Sunday, 22nd August 2021.<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Adapting to last year’s circumstances was no easy feat but the energy and commitment of the 750+ project organisers who create heritage projects this year ensured that Heritage Week remained a vibrant celebration of Ireland’s heritage. As a result of the creativity and passion heritage enthusiasts brought to this year’s initiative, National Heritage Week 2021 will retain the project element that was introduced last year.<\/p>\n

More details on National Heritage Week 2021 will be available in March 2021 – including its theme. In the meantime, projects from last year’s National Heritage Week will remain available online<\/a> for you to browse.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Galway County Council Heritage Office and The Heritage Council are providing a free heritage training course entitled \u2018Reading Your Local Landscape: Basics\u2019 County Galway for Heritage Groups and Heritage Practitioners working in the county of Galway (Galway County Council\u2019s administrative area only). The course will be delivered online.\u00a0 There are limited places available on the course and booking is essential.<\/p>\n

We would ask that you would only register for the course if you can commit to attending all of the sessions.<\/p>\n
