Maumturks mountain range, offer panoramic views of Connemara, right down to the coast. The peaks are made from quartzite \u2013 the same as the\u00a0 Twelve Bens (or Twelve Pins or Beanna Beola) standing at the west \u2013 and the tallest, Mulnahogue, stands at 702m. The glaciers of the Quaternary Period shaped the peaks and valleys into what we see today. The Western Way long-distance walking trail passes close to the Maumturk Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<style>.ld_spacer_69d2c5bce3be3{height:32px;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"ld-empty-space
