Bioblitz on Lough Mask shore Biodiversity Week event
A biodiversity focussed event organised in partnership between Petersburg Outdoor Education and Training Centre in Clonbur, a member of Galway-Roscommon Education and Training Board, the Local Authority Water Programmeand and the Geopark. All the pupils of the 2 local schools will be exploring the ground of Petersburg and Lough Mask shore and learn all the species are connected. After 2pm, the event is then open to the public.
- Petersburg staff will explore the woodlands biodiversity of trees, flowers, insects, birds and mammals,
- LAWPro will focus on the aquatic biodiversity from the lake shore and the local stream,
- JCWL Geopark will look at the biodiversity recorded as fossils in the local rock
This event is free and open to all from 2pm.
