PARTRY, MAYO

Partry (Irish: Pártraí, from “Partraige” the name of an ancient Irish kingdom) is a village and a civil parish formerly called Ballyovey in County Mayo

The village sits at the junction of the N84 and R330 roads between the towns of Ballinrobe and Castlebar, and between Lough Carra and Lough Mask, and near to Gloon Lough and Lough Nacorralea. It is frequented by visitors who come to fish locally.
