Launch of new animated educational video on the development of the local karst landscape
We have had a wonderful Heritage Week 2023 event in our geopark last weekend with the visit of two eminent expert on the Irish karst landscape; David Drew of Trinity College Dublin and Michael Simms of the Ulster Museum, Belfast. They, joined by local historian Robert Scott of the The Irish History Bookshop, helped us launch a new animated video on our local karst landscape with both a series of talks in The Crossroads on Saturday evening and a walk to the limestone pavement site in Clonbur Woods on Sunday morning.
The video, funded by the Geological Heritage grant from Geological Survey Ireland, is now available on our Youtube channel below.
